When is the Camp?

The camp will be held on Monday - Friday for two weeks, starting June 14 and ending June 25. Timing will be from 9:30 am - 1:00 pm.

Who is the Camp for?

If you are a parent looking for a unique program that will instill in your child Muslim values, teach them Qur'an, facilitate their intellectual growth, and have them create memories and friends that will last well beyond the two weeks Insha'Allah, then this is the program for you.

The camp is open to all children between the ages of 3 - 8, both boys and girls, even who are not a Sunflower Montessori student. The child must be potty-trained. There will be two classes, one for ages 3-5, and the other for 6-8. There are only 25 spots available in each program, and space is filling fast, so make sure to register your child ASAP!

Where will it be held?

The camp will be held at the Sunflower Montessori School, classroom #7 and #8 inside McKinley Elementary. The address is 9101 Hillcrest St. Livonia, MI 48150. The school is centrally located less than 20 minutes from MCWS in Canton, Tawheed Center in Farmington Hills, and ICD in Dearborn/Detroit.

What is the Cost?

The cost of the camp is $197. If a parent can only enroll their child for one week, the cost is $99. The child can either attend the week of June 14 - 18, or June 20 - 24. Please note however that the Animal Show will take place during the second week. There is a $25 registration fee/child if registered before May 31. After May 31, the registration fee increases to $50. There is a $10 cost for the Animal Show.

What Will Be Featured in the Program?

The theme of the Program is "Adventures With Animals From the Qur'an." Thus, activities and lessons will be primarily geared towards this topic. Each day, we will explore different animals from the Qur'an. There will be special sessions that have an Islamic theme to it unrelated to the theme as well. The program will include Arabic, Qur'an memorization, Islamic Studies, Sahaba Stories, Outdoor Play, Water Games, Sports, the Animal Show, Arts and Crafts, Science Exploration, and More!

Who are the Teachers at the Camp?

Teachers at the Camp include Sr. Farida Azeez, Sr. Buthayna Farah, Sr. Reem Shukairy, Sr. Maryam Moid, Sr. Banan Obeid, Sr. Eman Fahmy, and special guest sessions with Br. Farhan Abdul Azeez. All in all, the instructors bring 40+ years of combined experience in teaching. Rest assured, we have recruited some of the best from our communities! Each has unique skills that makes them loved by the children and able to connect with them at each child's individual level.

How Do I Register?

At the time of registration, you will need to provide the following: child's birth certificate, child's information card, health appraisal form, and a signed application form. All of these forms (save the birth certificate of course) will be emailed to you to fill out Insha'Allah.
