About Us
Since 1980, we have provided two to six year old children of Van Nuys and the neighboring cities of Sherman Oaks, Encino, Studio City, North Hollywood, Panorama City, Arleta, Lake Balboa and Reseda with a distinguished Montessori Preschool Education and Day Care. Our school operates year-round and offers Full-Time and Part-Time schedules alongside Extended Daycare.
At Sunflower Montessori Preschool of Van Nuys; we have refined our curriculum and school environment to follow Dr. Maria Montessori’s Montessori Method of education. Our passionately dedicated teachers accompany children in their journey to reach their maximum physical, social, emotional, and cognitive potentials.
LEARNING
Sunflower Montessori Preschool students learn to think critically, work collaboratively, and act boldly—a skill set for the 21st century.
EXPLORING
Exploring is essential for children’s growth and understanding of their surroundings. They will participate in musical events including dance and instruments, gardening, science experiments and much more.
PLAYING
Children of similar ages partake in various activities of play in the yard giving them an opportunity to run, play and imagine.
